In 1991, Will Davenport planted five acres of vines in the Kentish village of Horsmonden. It marked the beginning of Davenport Vineyards
- a venture built on a deep respect for the land,
a commitment to sustainability, and a clear vision for producing high-quality English wines.

An exciting new era for Davenport
We’re busy getting ready to welcome you in person. Our new winery shop is due to open soon - so you’ll be able to pick up your favourite Davenport wines directly from the winery in Horsmonden. We’re creating a space that celebrates everything we love about winemaking - organic, sustainable and rooted in the vineyards we call home.
It’s an exciting moment for us on all fronts: we’re thrilled to have received Gold, Silver, and Bronze at this
year’s WineGB Awards — for Limney Estate Sparkling Wine, 2019 (Gold), Redmoors Pinot Noir (Silver), and Ortega (Bronze). We also received a Highly Commended in the 2025 BOOM Awards for our
Limney Estate Sparkling Wine!
This is just the beginning. Tastings, tours, and relaxed wine bar experiences are all on the way as we open up the vineyard for you to explore and enjoy.
